BG Freight Line B.V. consist of two activities.
One is shipping activities and the other one is forwarding, physical distribution and warehousing.

BG Freight Line B.V. is one of the shipping-lines within M.D.H.C.
Our strengths, for already a considerable number of years, are the regular liner services to /from Ireland, UK and Scotland.
We are proud to state that, both our customers and our colleagues, consider us experts on the routes covered by our ships.
Today we operate 11 fully containerised ships which cover the following countries / ports :

Republic of Ireland ( Dublin and Cork )
Northern Ireland ( Belfast )
England ( Felixstowe, Tilbury, Southampton and Teesport )
Scotland ( Grangemouth and Greenock )
Belgium ( Antwerp )
The Netherlands ( Rotterdam )

The frequency of our sailings is one of the best in the trade.
All ports are served at least twice a week.
The transit-time is varying from 1 to 4 days depending on the destination.

The head office of BG is located in one of the buildings at the Rotterdam Shortsea Terminal (RST).
RST is one of the terminals our vessels regularly berth to take on board your valuable cargo destined for or coming from one of the ports above. In Rotterdam, the centre of our liner activities, most regular connections can be made to / from almost every destination in the world. It is through this that BG Freight Line has established itself as one of the leading feedering operations to / from mainland Europe .

Our own warehouse facilities (4900 m2), offering storage of goods whether general or bonded. We have invested in the last cargo handling equipment for discharging & loading of trailers and containers.

As distribution centre for a.o. Thermo King refrigeration units and parts we arrange daily collections from factories in Ireland, England, Spain, Germany, Belgium and Czech Republic by either containers or trucks/trailers to our warehouse in Rotterdam.
From here, all units and parts will be distributed over land and by air to all countries in Europe (incl. former Eastern Europe) and by FCL, LCL and air to Near, Middle and Far East, Indian subcontinent, Australia, South and North Africa & South and North America.

Our warehouse is both bonded and free. We do have a custom-license, which enables us to stamp and sign custom-documents without intervention of any custom-officer.
Our computer-system is linked to the H.M. Customs (“Sagitta”) in order to arrange custom clearance activities, such as entries for im- and export. We also can act as a fiscal representative for all customers in the European Union to clear and import cargo in Rotterdam into the European Union on their behalf whereby duties, VAT etc. can be levied according to the law of the country where the consignee is located.

BG Freight Line B.V. is member of the FENEX (Federation of Netherlands Forwarding Companies), which is the Dutch affiliate of the worldwide FIATA. The responsibilities, liabilities, guarantee-fund etc. fixed by this organization are the best guarantee towards the customers.

In view of documentation, the full range of FIATA-documents can be issued by ourselves. Further to this we do have our own BG Freight Line B.V. (Combined) Bill of Lading.
